6 Original Ideas for Indoor Team Building Games
It’s raining, it’s pouring, but that doesn’t mean your employees should be snoring through their team building day. Here we have five totally original ideas for games that forge bonds, improve communication and build teams, despite being based entirely indoors (and in the warm).
Animation Team
For this game, they’ll need copious amounts of creativity and solid teamwork, as they create plasticine figures and props for their very own animated film. At the end of the day, it’ll be time recline and pop some popcorn, for a group premiere.
Suitable for groups of 10 – 250 for 2 – 6 hours.
Beat the Cube
Frustrating as it is taught with tension, the Cube tests teams with seemingly simple tasks in the pressing atmosphere of the cube. Any team that wants to have even a hope of beating the cube will need to have excellent communication and exceptional co-ordination.
Suitable for groups 15 – 750, for 1 – 3 hours.
Ice Cream Making
This super cool indoor team building event is all about creating unique flavours. Your teams will work together trialling and tasting different ingredients, to come up with a winning combination, as decided by the judging panel. It’s not too competitive however, and even the losers will be able to drown their commiserations in a vat of ice cream.
Suitable for groups 12 – 100, for 1 – 3 hours.

Team work, communication, time management – these three critical skills are going to be essential for the team that wants to reign supreme during Team Apprentice. They’ll be put through their paces and pitted against one another as they take on the tasks that made the TV show a smash hit (and the pioneer of Amstrad-fame ain’t got nothing on our very own Lord Sugar Rush).
